This platform is dedicated to offering legal counseling and other free legal aid services for LGBTI people in Kosovo. Through this platform, it is possible for LGBTI people to communicate online through text or voice with legal experts. All communication between the client and the legal expert is confidential.
The platform in its dashboard will have general information about legal issues, i.e. information about the legislation, rights of the citizens, and institutions where clients can address their issues. Moreover, the platform will contain links to the websites of the Free Legal Aid Agency, the Kosovo Bar Association, the Ombudsperson Institution, and other institutions with whom CSGD is cooperating. Also, users will have access, prior to registering, to Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) which might be useful for most clients. CSGD will put all efforts into ensuring qualitative services and the availability of legal service providers.
The platform is administered by CSGD.
The Centre for Social Group Development (CSGD),since its establishment in 2003, has worked in supporting, protecting, and advocating for the rights of LGBTI people in Kosovo. CSGD is focused on four main areas:
- Advocacy
- Empowerment of LGBTI persons in Kosovo
- Awareness Raising on LGBTI Rights
- HIV and STI prevention
Vision
The vision of the organisation is to empower the LGBTI people as well as to improve their quality of life while decreasing discrimination, stigmatization and prejudices within the institutions and Kosovo society. CSGD envisages a Kosovo society where all its members are respected and treated equally.
Mission
The mission of CSGD is to elevate the LGBTI people in Kosovo from the margins of the society to having an influence in decisions that affect the wellbeing of this community in Kosovo.
